In the start of the \’From the Ashes\’ storyline for X-Men, Angel decided to join forces with the government as part of an elite squad featuring famous mutant members. Yet during one operation, he sustained severe injuries necessitating extensive time in the hospital. Under the guise of receiving medical care, Warren utilized his wealth to upgrade and augment his physical capabilities secretly.

As government agents, X-Factor have been tasked with taking her down, but Havok has done his best to stand in the way. Sadly, as the series comes to a close, Archangel has accepted the task of taking Polaris out of circulation – when she asks why, he darkly replies,
\”It\’s my job.\”

Once upon a time, the X-Men would have done anything to have a highly potent hero who was invulnerable to Magneto’s abilities. Nowadays, Magneto has transformed from an adversary into one of the key protagonists.

The internal darkness within Archangel and their readiness to pursue other mutants on behalf of the government imply that roles might be reversed, positioning Magneto as the protagonist and Warren as the antagonist. Audiences will witness how the confrontation between Polaris and Archangel unfolds.
