Mumbai (Maharashtra), India, April 22 (ANI): The anticipation has come to an end with the release of the trailer for \’The Royals\’.
Directed by Priyanka Ghose and Nupur Asthana, penned by Neha Veena Sharma, and produced through the production company Pritish Nandy Communications, \’The Royals\’ features renowned actress Zeenat Aman alongside Bhumi Pednekar, Ishaan Khatter, Sakshi Tanwar, Nora Fatehi, Dino Morea, Milind Soman, Chunky Panday, Vihaan Samat, Kavya Trehan, Sumukhi Suresh, and Udit Arora amongst others.
The preview for \’The Royals\’ offers a glimpse into the majestic yet declining city of Morpur, where a charming prince and a resolute CEO are reluctantly paired together, potentially leading to romance.
Zeenat Aman expressed her enthusiasm for the project, stating, “I remain just as passionate about taking on new roles and challenges. Working on \’The Royals\’ has been invigorating and highly creative. Interacting with dynamic young artists who bring boundless energy and innovative viewpoints made each day on set exciting and stimulating. I am deeply grateful to Pritish Nandy Communications and Netflix for presenting this remarkable romantic story and for giving me the opportunity to be part of it.”
Bhumi Pednekar likewise shared her experiences from working on \’The Royals\’.
In a press statement, she remarked, “Portraying Sophia was akin to entering a realm that is simultaneously inspiring and profoundly familiar. She embodies strength, ambition, and emotional authenticity—attributes I’ve always found compelling. I’m delighted to have worked alongside Netflix and Pritish Nandy Communications on The Royals and am immensely thankful that they were able to bring this show to fruition—I trust viewers will enjoy watching it as much as we enjoyed bringing it to life.”
Ishaan Khatter stated, “Sharing the screen with such esteemed and talented performers has been both uplifting and delightful. This represents my second partnership with Netflix internationally and my inaugural one with Netflix India, and once more, it’s turned out to be quite an expedition. ‘The Royals’ is a contemporary romantic comedy—quirky, spontaneous, and brimming with unexpected twists. I’m eager for viewers to immerse themselves in the universe of Morpur and stream through the entire series! It encompasses abundant affection, intensity, humor—a little bit of everything. Maharaja Aviraaj stands as the most vexingly attractive character I’ve portrayed, and I sincerely wish the audience will relish him just as much as I did taking on this part.”
\”The Crown\” will debut on Netflix on May 9. (ANI)
