Pakistan, April 23 — The Academy has unveiled the Oscar winner for Best Stunt Coordination, however, Tom Hardy appeared displeased with the outcome.
One Oscar seems somewhat insufficient in certain regards. While it’s positive and even praiseworthy, it falls short of what might be expected according to the Peaky Blinders\’ statement to IGN.
He clarified why a single category for stunts wasn’t sufficient: “A mere stunt design category isn’t enough since the stunt department encompasses numerous components.”
The individual, who is 47 years old, also mentioned, \”The design aspect serves as an umbrella for various communities within that realm, all needing illumination and comprehension, highlighting their significant efforts.\”
\”As the stunt department, together with the effects team, delivers for those who seek thrills at the cinema or enjoy watching anything involving action or more than just the written or spoken word,\” he went on to explain.
Be it folks riding horses, driving cars, leaping from structures, individuals set ablaze, engaging in combat, getting struck by vehicles, scenes beneath the waves, free-falling through skydiving, or anything else imaginable.
\”The whole realm of individuals behind the scenes remains unrecognized, and many take significant physical risks for this role. Although their contributions often go unnoticed, they truly add excitement to both film and television productions. Given my numerous connections within that community, I believe it would be beneficial to include additional categories recognizing them,\” Tom stated.
Meanwhile, it took the Academy a century to establish a category for stunt coordination.
