The legislator insisted that his driver pull over closer to the creature so he could guarantee getting an optimal look, as this was his inaugural encounter with it.
Peter Salasya, the Member of Parliament for Mumias East, was the happiest man when he returned to Nairobi from Mombasa on Monday, April 21.
The youthful leader spent the Easter break in Mombasa and traveled to and from the location via road.

As he returned to Nairobi, the member of parliament was captivated by the sight of an elephant alongside the roadside near Tsavo National Park.
To capture the moment, Salasya took out his camera to film the wildlife creature. He seemed thrilled at the sight of its size and couldn’t help but make exclamations of astonishment.
As he refrained from exiting the vehicle, thus avoiding potential peril, the Member of Parliament examined the interior via the sunroof.
\”Leo ndio ninaonekana hivi live, Bwana. Kisha nakumbuka hili ni muhimu sana. Sasa nikiagiza, hapa hatutaki kurudi usiku,\” alisema Salasya.
Salyasa moved even closer, instructing his driver to bring the vehicle nearer to the elephant so he could have a clearer look at the animal.
In his caption, Salasya mentioned that this was his first experience with it, adding that from now on, he would only use the car to go to the coast instead of flying.
\”I hadn’t seen living elephants in my life until now… What a beautiful day as I traveled from Mombasa through Tsavo National Park. Now, Mombasa will be just driving the car to catch a plane with clouds and sleeping,\” he wrote.
This is how online commentators responded to his video:

Are you saying there are no elephants in Kakamega? I concur; the Luhya are indeed a significant group in Kenya. Here in Meru, there are more people from the Luhya community than us Wanjikuu.
