Jonesboro Shows Gratitude: E-911 Dispatchers Honored

JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT)– As we observe National Public Safety Tele communicators Week, Jonesboro is joining forces with the Optimist Club of Jonesboro to honor and appreciate the local dispatchers.

In addition to distributing treats, the city established an area at City Hall where locals can pen thank-you notes or create coloring pages for the Jonesboro E-911 team.

The collection of cards will take place by the end of the week and they will then be handed over to the Jonesboro E-911 dispatchers.

Lynette Hirsch, who works as the Community Engagement and Marketing Coordinator, mentioned that expressing gratitude can be quite simple.

Hirsch stated, \”Anyone has the ability to jot down a note. Our aim is for kids to realize that they too can contribute. Small gestures such as a coloring sheet,\” he explained. \”Expressing gratitude doesn’t require spending much. Each one of us does our bit to ensure \’We notice you; we value your efforts and acknowledge your dedication.\’\”

In addition to the \”Adopt a Dispatcher\” initiative, here’s another method for everybody to participate in showing their gratitude.

Stop by City Hall between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. to toss your card into the bin and offer a big round of applause for the dispatchers who keep our neighborhood secure.
