The renowned Ghanaian singer Jane Afia Awindor, professionally known as Efya, has been announced as one of the headlining performers at the highly anticipated HoodTalk Music Festival scheduled for May 9 at the Independence Square in Accra.
Efya, known for several popular tracks, has won Female Vocalist of the Year at the Ghana Music Awards five times.
She is scheduled to electrify the stage along with Cina Soul, Lali & Lola, Afrokelly, DJ Spices, and several others.
Efya is anticipated to captivate audiences with her popular hits including \’Little Things\’, \’Best In Me\’, \’Forgetting Me\’, \’Gingam\’ up to \’Super Super,\’ which has become widely trending across numerous music platforms.
Hosted by the DreamChild Foundation in collaboration with Virtual Hub, this event will showcase an outstanding selection of local hiplife, hip-hop, highlife, and Afrobeat musicians who promise to deliver exceptional performances for music enthusiasts.
Additionally, there will be performances from unexpected guest artists who have been asked to take the stage during the event.
It\’s a dance event aimed at bringing together enthusiasts of Ghanaian music onto a single platform to celebrate the nation\’s rich musical legacy.
As stated by the organizers of the event, they anticipate more than twenty thousand music enthusiasts will attend, noting that several enticing options have been arranged to keep attendees entertained.
They mentioned that the previous year\’s event was impressive, but this year, music enthusiasts will truly feel the raw power of music.
Legendary musicians like Stonebwoy, Gyedu Blay Ambolley, Pat Thomas, and Edem are set to perform at an event aimed at raising money for constructing five pediatric clinics throughout Ghana. The total cost for this initiative stands at $14 million.
Efya has shared the stage with both local and international artists including Chris Brown, D3, P-Square, MI, Wande Coal, Burna Boy, Stonebwoy, Samini, Kojo Antwi, Kwabena Kwabena, D-Black, and R2Bees.
