So I contacted him and told him I was about to send it over, which I did, but I didn’t get a response from him afterward.
Carrie wasn\’t shocked by Ford\’s silence, given his reputation for being ferociously protective of his privacy, and she understood he likely didn\’t want \”anything known about his life\”.
She stated, \”I definitely don’t wish to say anything that could go beyond embarrassing him. He’s embarrassed by all matters of a personal nature.\”
A recent Reddit submission brought attention to her attempts to secure Ford’s endorsement for her memoir with this statement: “TIL today I found out that when Carrie Fisher informed Harrison Ford about her plans to release her diaries and expose their romantic involvement during the production of Star Wars (1977)—despite him being married at the time—he simply lifted his finger and responded ‘ Lawyer!’”
Fisher mentioned he had the chance to review it prior and remove any content if needed. She then forwarded it to him, yet she didn’t receive any response afterward.
