The five cast members of The Breakfast Club got together over the weekend, four decades since they initially met as misfits from Shermer High School during detention.
Molly Ringwald, Emilio Estevez, Judd Nelson, Ally Sheedy, and Anthony Michael Hall convened for a discussion panel at the Chicago-based pop culture event C2E2, according to People magazine, engaging with fans about the 1985 masterpiece directed by John Hughes.
\”I am deeply touched and overwhelmed with emotion having everyone here together,\” exclaimed Ringwald, who played the iconic it-girl Claire Standish in the movie.
She proceeded to humorously mention the presence of Estevez, saying, \”We can stop using the cardboard cutout now. It feels truly touching that we\’ve managed to gather everyone here.\”
“I felt like I had to do this myself,” Estevez replied with a quip, adding that the reunion felt “extra special” because C2E2 occurs in Chicago, where The Breakfast Club was filmed.
Sheedy, who portrayed Allison Reynolds, spoke candidly about the strong connection the ensemble developed throughout the movie\’s filming.
She expressed, \’I was genuinely delighted during the production of this film; everyone truly has such affection for one another, though it might not be obvious. It felt like a dream—a wonderful experience.\’
