It seems like it\’s high time we enjoyed a hearty chuckle, and truly, crafting a comedy without upsetting anyone can be quite challenging.

Andrew Barth Feldman told the outlet, \”It’s important for us to learn how to handle feeling offended. We went through a significant shift when we recognized that there were numerous topics we had been making jokes about which weren’t appropriate.\”

On the movie rating site Rotten Tomatoes, the film holds a 70 percent approval rating. Certain critiques commend Lawrence’s performance in the movie, with someone noting: “Lawrence delivers an impressive act in a comedic part which transforms this into quite a solid contemporary teenage film.
