Question:
I am looking for a British modern classic convertible. I love a classy looking car for Goodwood days etc. I have whittled it down to the MGRV8, Jaguar…
Answer:
In many ways you have answered your own question – for regular use the Jaguar is the best bet, especially if you go for a later model and choose the ultra-reliable 4.0-litre straight six and not the V8. They’re even comparatively economical compared with the other cars on your list. A classic car is an emotive purchase, but we think both of the others (and especially the TVR) would become tiresome as a daily driver.
