Tom Hiddleston Reveals Loki\’s Return in \’Avengers: Doomsday,\’ Promising More MCU Adventures Ahead

Tom Hiddleston is hinting at what\’s ahead for Loki in the forthcoming MCU blockbuster \”Avengers: Doomsday.\”

While speaking with

Hiddleston expressed his enthusiasm about getting back together with the Russo Brothers for their newest addition to the Marvel series.

I am incredibly thrilled,\” Hiddleston stated. \”It’s truly amazing that I’m finally able to discuss this as I often find myself in a situation where I know all the details but cannot share them… The experience of portraying Loki has been an exceptional part of my journey, and it isn’t concluded just yet.

Hiddleston initially played the mischievous Norse deity in \”Thor,\” which was released in 2011. He subsequently reprised this role in \”The Avengers\” (2012), \”Thor: The Dark World\” (2013), \”Avengers: Age of Ultron\” (2015), \”Thor: Ragnarok\” (2017), \”Avengers: Infinity War\” (2018),\”Avengers: Endgame\” (2019), and finally in \”Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania\” (2023).

Hiddleston is among several recognizable actors set to come back for \”Avengers: Doomsday.\” Confirmed returning cast members also include Chris Hemsworth reprising his role as Thor, Anthony Mackie taking on the part of Sam Wilson, Sebastian Stan portraying Bucky Barnes, aka the Winter Soldier, along with Paul Rudd playing Scott Lang/Ant-Man and others.

Several actors from the \”X-Men\” series are reprising their roles as part of the official integration into the MCU for \”Doomsday.\” This ensemble features Marvel characters such as Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Kelsey Grammar portraying Beast, Alan Cumming taking on the role of Nightcrawler, James Marsden as Cyclops, and Rebecca Romijn as Mystique.

Following the premiere of \”Doomsday\” in theaters on May 1, 2026, Marvel plans to launch the follow-up film, \”Avengers: Secret Wars,\” in 2027. Additionally, the company has scheduled two major releases for 2025: \”The Fantastic Four: First Steps,\” set to hit cinemas on July 25, and \”Thunderbolts*,\” which will debut on May 2.
