Of 1 billion won (approximately $680,000) to aid in wildfire recovery efforts in South Korea, another member of the group named Jin has taken initiative—this time choosing to contribute through personal effort rather than financial means.

Recently, Jin was spotted giving his time at a provisional aid station established at Gilan Middle School in Andong City. There, he assisted with distributing warm meals to those affected by the wildfires as well as to the first responders working tirelessly on site.

Dressed discreetly in a black cap, grey apron and face mask, Jin seemed to keep a low profile while participating in the effort, blending in with the rest of the volunteers.

As part of an extensive aid effort orchestrated by TheBorn Korea—a charity established by renowned chef Baek Jong-won, who counts Jin as a dear friend—the group has since March 28th provided more than 300 warm meals each day to those displaced and first responders impacted by the severe wildfires in South Korea’s southeast area.

BIGHIT Music, the management company for BTS, issued a statement from Jin where he mentioned, \”I chose to volunteer as I wished to provide some form of assistance to those who have been impacted.\”

His action rapidly spread across social media platforms, earning praise from fans for his subtle but impactful involvement.

“One user remarked, ‘Financial support is good, but giving up your time? That’s kindness put into practice,’ ” while another posted, “He truly embodies setting a positive example—completely spot-on.”

Nearly 27,000 inhabitants were compelled to flee due to the wildfires, which severely disrupted everyday activities and blocked both roadways and communications. The nation has responded generously, resulting in more than 110 billion won ($75 million) being collected via various groups such as the Korea Disaster Relief Association and the Korean Red Cross.

Although Jin was seen in Andong, the spotlight fell on Jungkook when his donation became known for being one of the biggest individual gifts ever made to the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association.

At the same time, J-Hope discreetly joined the ranks of BTS members who support various causes by donating 100 million won to aid those affected by the recent Jeju Air accident.
