For filmmaker Adhik Ravichandran, navigating the film industry was an ongoing challenge until he encountered Tamil megastar Ajith Kumar. In a recent interview, the director candidly discussed how profoundly Ajith influenced his professional path and personal growth, describing their relationship as transformative for him.

, Adhik mentioned that “after the fiasco of \’Anbanavan Asaradhavan Adangadhavan,\’ nobody seemed to notice me. However, it felt great to receive backing from Ajith Sir.” This actor-director pair is now preparing for their next project.

Sharing more about how his life transformed after meeting Ajith Kumar, Adhik revealed that his initial films were made out of a need to survive in the industry and were targeted at the youth who would flock to theatres. He explained, \”When I did my first film, I was just 22. I didn\’t have enough maturity, but now, I am in a better place. When I did Nerkonda Paarvai with Ajith Sir, he told me to think bigger, and stop catering to a certain set of audiences. That is why my route changed.\”
Adhik, who initiated his directing career with \”Trisha Illana Nayanthara,\” mentioned that his mother inspired his admiration for Ajith. He stated, “My fascination for Ajith began with ‘Dheena.’ His intensity captivated me, and learning about his private acts intensified this feeling. Whether it’s the assistance he provides to those in need or how he interacts with people close to him, Ajith Sir stands out as an exceptional individual,” he shared.
He remarked, “Given that he abhors causing pain to others and never speaks ill of anyone, my respect for him only grew stronger. Proficient at performing transformations, he effortlessly embodies numerous distinct roles. Indeed, an extensive array of outfits was utilized for his part, which he executed with remarkable finesse. The way he wore these suits seemed as though they had been specifically created for Mr. Ajith.”
Ajith Kumar, renowned for his down-to-earth demeanor and modesty even with his megastar reputation, offered heartfelt backing and confidence to Adhik during a challenging time. This gesture significantly uplifted Adhik’s spirits and affirmed his directorial aspirations.
